Build Girls Up Program

When girls are given the opportunity to step into new spaces, it expands what they believe is possible for their future.

On March 3, 2026,  the DemoChicks Build Girls Up cohort was recognized during the Long Beach City Council meeting and presented with a certificate from Mayor Rex Richardson in recognition of Women in Construction Week.

For many of the girls, this was their first time sitting in the City Council chambers and interacting with elected leaders. Experiences like this matter. They help young people see themselves in rooms where decisions are made and understand that their voices and futures belong there too.

At DemoChicks, we are intentional about creating moments that elevate, enlighten, and empower our girls. We encourage them to imagine beyond their current circumstances and explore the possibilities ahead of them.

Our mission is simple:  Break down barriers so girls can build hopes, dreams, and passions that shape their future.

Moments like this are more than recognition — they are reminders of what happens when we invest in the next generation.
